German au pair, Birte in Budapest with Jack Hompes, Chairman of IAPA

Au Pair of the Year Award

MARCH 20 2012:  We have just received news from the IAPA conference in Budapest that a German au pair has been voted winner of the IAPA Worldwide Au Pair of the Year Award for 2012!
The au pair called Birte, is from Smart Au Pairs,  an au pair agency located in the UK, with offices in Australia.  Birte is the au pair for the Bess family and helped the family with the care for their two young children and newborn twins when they lived in Lambton, near Newcastle England. The Bess family, originally from the USA, knew they needed an extra pair of hand to help with the children after the twins were born. As expats; they knew they could not really rely on nearby friends and relatives!
The founder of Smart Au Pairs, Nicole Kofkin, speaks 4 languages and has spent 15 years traveling the world during her professional career in the travel and au pair industry.
Congratulations to Birte and Nicole and all of her staff at Smart Au Pairs!
