Review of Au Pair Blogs/Websites:

  • Great Au Pair

Great Au Pair Blog - a great resource written by 5 women ranging from CEO of Great Au Pair, a nanny, former au pair and host moms!  Tons of advice, au pair information and articles!  Check it out at http://blog.greataupair.com/

  • Au Pair Answer Mom - this video blog is run by Cultural Care and just happens to be a great place to hear about the au pair program as the videos are excellent and very professionally done.

    Susan Robinson

Susan Robinson, a VP at Cultural Care, dressed in preppy clothes and pearls, is the star of this au pair video blog and she does a great job explaining the basics of the program.

  • Au Pair Mom - a blog run by a former host mom, CV Harquail  poses daily au pair/host family dilemmas for her small, but loyal fan base to consider. Host moms faithfully chime in with their opinions and suggestions on all kinds of problems and issues that can arise when hosting an au pair. Caveat: remember the suggested solutions are personal opinions only and are not necessarily correct or appropriate for everyone.

  • New J1-Visa Website - the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs recently launched a new information based website for host parents.  You will find useful information about the program requirements for both au pairs and host families.  Read our complete review of the new website (June 2011) or visit it at:  J-1 Visa website

  • Go Au Pairgoaupair.com's blog - one of the smaller agencies has a great information blog f for host parents!  This new addition to goaupair's website is a welcome relief from the typical promotional slant most agency sites suffer from.  The blog offers great news stories, helpful tips and useful information on the au pair industry.  Visit the site at:  http://www.goaupair.com/Host-Families/Blogs.aspx.
